Invite adults known to the group to talk about their favourite food from around the world. Ask them to explain how the food is prepared. (PS1, 3)

Make a display of food wrappers and pictures of food from different countries. Help children to make small flags to represent the countries from which the food came and add them to the display. (PS1, 6, 8)

Encourage children to look closely at the words on the food wrappers from around the world and to sort them according to their initial sounds. (L9)
